Default Throttle resistance

For lack of a better word......
I know the IS has drive by wire and I noticed the throttle pedal has more resistance than I care for. My Scion had a very light throttle pedal. Does anyone know if this can be adjusted.
God, sometimes I miss the simple things like direct throttle control with springs.

Thanks in advance.

i'm interested if there's a way to ADD more resistance. if you drive ANY German car, you'll notice their pedals are like bricks...

I couldn't imagine wanting MORE resistance, but that shows how different we all are.
Hopefully there is a way to make the adjustment.

There is no adjustment. You might be able to experiment with it, but be prepared to buy another one if you screw it up. They retail for a little more than $400.

Must be different car to car. My wife even noticed I barely accelerate when driving it, especially after coming out of her Scion.

Nope, I'm not the experimenting type!
If it can't be adjusted, I'll just learn to adjust to it.

I dont think there is away too take out but if you want more you can get a blitz throttle controller thats what I have in my 06 gs 430 what I like about it , is that you can turn it off and on anytime and there is another one its call a sprint booster but te blitz have four settings thats if you want mor pep in your step. I paid $350 for the blitz

You need to consider the seat position and how your foot is resting on the pedal. I usually drive with my toes on the lower part of the pedal so it feels like there is more resistance. However when I rest 3/4th of my foot on the pedal with my seat upright sitting closer to the steering wheel, the pedal can be easily modulated.

Hm, I've never thought about that, though it seems so obvious. Thanks for an informative post

Maybe the IS250 lack the torque you're looking for, remember its a 250 you're driving.

If you were comparing with your Scion under your sig, well yeah...pedal feel different.

On my car, when i need to get on the freeway, there's a lag, but 6k RPM is quick.

Yeah, I've read about the Blitz but don't want to spend the dough for that.
Thanks though.

I don't think it's a lack of torque, it's just that the pedal is stiffer than I'm used to. Back in the day we would just change springs on the throttle to give the desired pedal feel.

Thanks.
