Default vsc light

my vsc light has been turning on after i got it fixed 4 times now. i went to the dealership to get it fixed and apparently it seems like they cant fix it either...how disappointing.

you don't need VSC. It's just one of this things that helps when you drive in snow, mainly.

On our car, the VSC system is disabled (and the VSC light comes on) whenever the "check engine" light comes on. Even though the original poster didn't mention it, I suspect that is the case here.

OP, did you ask the dealer what diagnostic trouble code they've been reading.

Bichon, that's VERY useful info there....

I've been having a problem where if I put the car to run/on from being off (hit the start button to go from acc to run without depressing brake pedal), and then START the car, the check VSC system usually turns on for a brief second or two.

It only does it if I do OFF -> ACC -> ON -> start, not OFF -> start......but it makes sense now, cause with most vehicles there are a few check system lights when the car is in the on position without being started.

check your gas thing... and everything else that has clips... make sure everything is okay... try to switch on and of your car about 5-6 times... and drive around in between.. it helps.. it might get rid of it if not think you hav to call the dealer

i went to the dealer because theres definately something wrong with it. its funny because the service advisor said "your body shop couldnt fix this problem?" looks like im going to have to make a fool out of her when i go back.

well when i drop my car my abs plug was messed up . and i believe that what threw my VSC light to turn on. i just wiggled the sensor plug and disconnect the battery. then i turn on and took off. havn't came back yet.
