So i know iTunes will do this for you, but for the artist on a CD burned through iTunes it just shows the play list name.
Any way to use iTunes so the artist name actually shows the artist name? So if I have a CD with 10 different artists, it will change the artist name depending on the song?

Don't use a program to burn. Just drag and drop the Mp3 files by folder on the CD. Name the folders to whatever artists or method of organizing you want and you are good to go!

Artist / track information is not available off a CD - even the store bought. If you have an MP3 of the song, then that information and more can be embedded in the track. When you insert a CD in your computer, iTunes or Windows Media Player goes out to the web to the CDDB at Gracenote, AMG, and other sources to download this information and display for the song you are playing. Until Lexus puts a web connection in (I'm sure it's coming), you'll just have to use MP3's if you want track displays.
I have been playing my store bought John Mayer CD and it displays all the song, track, and album info. Not sure how many CD's do I'll try some more tomorrow. I don't play many CD's because I usually play my iPod.

Simply not true.
Any CD that has CD TEXT encoded on it will display information on an appropriate player (such as the ones in our cars).
Not all pressed CDs have it, but many do.
Here's a picture of the logo that should appear on the CD if it supports it-

You seem to be confusing CD TEXT with ID3 tags (which is what mp3s generally use)

We covered this over a month ago.
See my post above.
If the store-bought CD has CD TEXT, your car will display it.
If it does not, it won't.
You can write CD TEXT on your own burned CDs if you wish.
The advantage to burning an audio CD, rather than dropping mp3s on a CD, is that you can put much higher quality audio files on there.
The disadvantage of course is you can fit a lot less songs on the disc.
In either case you can have it display info if you burn it correctly.

Yes, Windows downloads the track info/cover art for each CD played, unless you choose not to in the Options, and stores it in a file in Windows Media Player. Under Options, Privacy, the Clear Cache button removes those stored files for the CDs. Now when you rip with WMP, it saves the track info in the MP3 file. The cover art is in a hidden file marked Folder.jpg along with a few other hidden files that tell WMP to display where you can buy it. I usually use iTunes to insert the cover art into the MP3 file.
