Weird Problem
i have noticed for a little while now when im at a red light my car is idleing at 600-700 rpm. i can feel the slightest vibration in the car like it wants to stall. the vibration is so small but i can feel it. anyways i was playing around to night at a light and when i would pull up on either the 2 front window buttons or the 2 rear ones the idleing would drop down to 500 and the car would vibrate a little more. still its a very little vibration and the car has never stalled. anyone have any idea what it could be?
Sounds like it could be an issue with your alternator. I had a problem on a car a while back where the bearings had gone in the alternator and it was having trouble spinning. It caused a lot of strain on the engine and it had trouble idling. That being said, the car was ten years old at the time, not new like yours.
could the fact that I have extra electronics running like halos in the headlights and an edfc that are on all the time? If I take it to the dealership I don't want them saying it's my fault and the warrenty is void ?
I have had the same issue with the intermittent vibration at idle and lower RPM when the car is in D and fully warmed up. I have an 08 with 10K miles. Dealer had another car show up with the same issue while mine was in the shop and he told me he had contacted Lexus and was awaiting a response and would look at repairing when I bring it in for next service. It had already been there 3 days as they were awaiting delivery of the replacement brake pads. So, it appears the vibration at idle is not just a select few cars. I have seen it before on the 4 cylinder cars (such as an A4) but not in any V6 I have owned or driven.
i noticed this a few times, and at the time my engine was at optimal temp...and i have no aftermarket add ons...i just thought there might have been something in the gas...but i guess im not the only one...

its normal, my car does the same thing. if you have your a/c on all the time then you will not feel the vibration cause the rpm is a little higher. put it in neutral if you don't want to feel the vibration at stop lights. with the car on Drive, you are putting load on your engine mounts, trans mount and rear diff mounts, the mounts can only take up so much vibration then the rest you can feel it.
