Hey, I just got my IS250 not too long ago but I have noticed that I get a orangish ring around my spedometer when I hit the speed of 78mph or greater. Is that normal? and if not, how do I turn it off?

 

You can adjust the orange ring

lol.......... i set mine to 60mph cuz thats how fast i got local.. reminds myself to slow down.

 

Factory default is 75mph.

 

Yeah you can set it to turn orange whenever you want. Same as RPM's.
Its just a reminder of your speed.

Default
75mph=orange
100mph=red

But like everyone else said, that little book in your glove box will explain everything..

 

OP both the speedometer and tachometer have orange rings that can be adjusted to the drivers specification

 

i turn my Orange ring on at 45mph and red at 65mph. just kidding

 

speedo was turned off on mine. tach i left on i liked the tach one

 

I set the orange ring at 90 ... that way I dont see it anymore, and if I do, I need to slow down!! haha...

I looked thru the encyclopedia Lexus 2012 IS250C owner's manual but can't find how to adjust the speed and tach orange light - please give the description or where to find it in the manual.
