Not sure if it was posted yet, but does anyone know if you can have the Lexus IS 2009 tail lights into previous generations?

I think the pre-2009's look stealthier at night with their thin line. New ones look a tad flamey, a la 5-series.

 

for 1,200 u might as well just get the isf tails for 400-500.

 

I only realise the difference yesterday when i was behind an 09.

the driver did not have the rear high beam on so all i see was te brake lights and to be real honest it is quite cheap looking. With the indicators also vertical and right next to the brake light, the whole image of the rear was plain. I didn't like it.

Put your fingers over the 6 LED inner lights and you see what i mean.



Compare to the pre 09.

 

Personally i also prefer the 06-08 tails over my 09 tails and could have even bought the 08 at a lower price instead of my 09, but i still would stick with my 09 since its a newer look/model even if most 06-08 owners dont like it

I can understand why people like the 06-08 tail lights...It's pretty clean looking and I like it too...I dunno I kinda got more fond of my 09 tails the more I saw it. regardless what people might say to me it's unique, yet still clean looking...

 

I have an 09, I personally prefer the look. Everyone has different taste.

 

I can get your a set of 09+ tail light and I am sure it will be less than $1200. haha

I'm thinking of just the inner lights (where the reverse lights at housed). Well, maybe the whole set. What is your price on them? Will the wires be the same? Thanks!

 

Isn't the 2009 have a different shape? I don't think it will get a smooth look if you combine 06-08 with 2009.
