Default HID problems. Please Help!!! did everything, still no go

i need help with my HIDs. i did a search and tried everything people suggested.
i did EVERYTHING, unplug everything and plug it back. switched driver's side and passenger side lights, etc.

i have mobileHID 6000k H11 HId conversion kit. I've had it since May (about 7 months). the passenger side light goes out. i would have to turn off the light and turn it back on for both lights to turn on. then, after about a few minutes, it goes out again.
how do i resolve this problem? please help.

andrew

try swapping bulbs from side to side. you should find out if it's a bad bulb or ballast.

you should pm cliffud. maybe he can help you more.

Doing that swap, you should find the following:
1. Bad Bulb
2. Bad Ballast
3. Bad Power/ground

just swap the parts side to side mix matching the parts and you will get your answer.

i'll try switching parts side to side tomorrow morning....spending christmas morning fixing my lights. HAHAH

after i change the lights....
if the passenger side still goes out, then its a bad ballast
if passenger is good and driver side is goes out, then its bad bulb
correct??

how would i know if its bad power/ground?

if the fuse was blown, the HID's wouldn't even light up. since his driver's side does, that's not the problem.

if the wires were faulty, the HID's would just flicker instead of turning on and shutting off. so that's not the problem either.

Switch the (+) side and the (-) side of the wires. Some manufacturers are like that.

i tried what you guys said, and still it goes out.

i switched the bulbs and both lights stay lit. so i switched it back.
then i took my car out a drive but the passenger side still goes out. and when i put it back in the garage, i noticed the passenger side flickers.

note: when i leave it on auto, and start my car, are the HIDs suppose to turn on? because mine don't

well...its time to PM cliff.

thanks for all your help everyone

Be very careful. Some ballast are not reverse polarity. You might short your ballast!

Anyway, what have you concluded? a bulb or ballast is out?

After the test, you either have 2 working ballast and 1 working bulb OR 1 working ballast and 2 working bulb.

What is it?

Also, what kind of HID kit do you have? is it a 2 piece or a 3 piece system?

you should be able to tell if you have bad bulbs with a quick visual inspection.

but imo sounds like a bad ballast, but i could be wrong
