If you get a backup key, may as well get the credit card key from the LS =)

 

I've been away from this board for a bit, and so I don't know what a "credit card key" is, but I guess I'll put that in the search bar and find out

 

Before you buy a second key fob try contacting the previous owner.

The previous owner probably has the fob and just forgot to return it.

I traded in an 06 IS250 and forgot to return the 2nd fob but I came across it a couple of days later and mailed it to the dealership.

 

This has been many people's experience and is sad due to the high cost of the car at purchase and then, the high cost of service, parts, sensors, etc.

Glad the OP is back to Lexus.

 

My neighbor bought a BMW 335i three months after I bought my IS 350.
6 months later he turned his 335i back in and bought a Lexus.
He said the 335i had constant problems. None with his 350.
