I just switched to 5w-30(5,200 miles ODO) mobil 1 full syn and put in exactly 6.6 quarts by the manual. I got this problem which I had been known that a lot of people got the same thing which is it making a small rattle noise when start up. I had read the thread about which oil to use and make me so confusing(different people using different types of oil). I have gotten no problem with my car with dealership oil change.. Just now I did switch to full syn mobil 1 and my car got that cold start rattle noise. Anyone give me some advice . is the oil type matter with the rattle noise start up????Anyone can share your experiences. Should I just go back to use the reg oil to avoid the rattle noise or does it matter what i use I still hear that cold startup noise. Because I just noticed the noise after the full syn oil switch over.

 

has nothing to do with oil.....

 

Take it to the Stealer and have them perform the TSIB for the start up rattle. Take it when it is making the noise. I took mine a week later and the noise stopped, so they would not do the fix. It seemed to only do it when the temp was over 90 degrees.
