I was there for an oil change and the dash fix, all together it took three hours.
They should be able to give you a loaner as this is something that takes
quite some time, the last time I went the service consultant told me that
if I want any more TSIB's done to bring it in and they'll give me a loaner.
So you should be good

questions
What's TSIB / TSB? I just dropped my IS to the dealer to get the glove box noise issues. They said it'll take them some time to figured it out and I would have to pick up my car on Monday. They gave me a dirty *** smelled like **** 08 ES350 ;[ So if its that long is there anything else I should tell them to check its my 10K check up?

I took mine to Tustin Lexus and they didn't want to do anything because mine is an 08 (therefore not on the TSIB) and also because the noise went away from warm up.

update:
I fixed the rattle myself. Turns out it's the little plastic trim piece around the instrument face (behind the steering wheel). All i did was unscrew the top two buttons, insert a foamy insulating tape onto the top of it (the part that touches the dash) and also the two holes for the trim. I pushed it back in, screwed it tight and no more rattles!

I have the exact "rattle" you describe. I found that it's coming from the seam right above the dash lighting dimmer **** to the left of the steering column. If I push on the area just above the **** the noise can be duplicated. I showed it to a service tech at the dealership who told me it would be no problem to fix... after almost a whole day in the shop I picked it up and guess what... still does it. So the car is still there.... at least they gave me an '08 IS 350 with the F-sport package as a loaner- holy s@#t it's a fast car, especially compared to my stock 250.

i have this rattle that is very short and i only hear it when the car starts....i have taken the car in a few times to get the rattle fixed..the first time they said it was the cam gears grinding (which i new it wasnt)...but yesterday when i dropped my car off for the 3 saftey recalls i got a phone call saying it was the tachometer which makes sence bc i hear it when i start the engine or when i just turn the car on (foot off brake) and the needles go side to side....was told they would replace it for a new one...just thought id share some of u could be having that problem...

Are you sure it wasn't the engine rattle? It makes this sorta clacking sound at start up.
