Default OEM 18"s on AWD?

Will the stock 18" wheels work on an AWD without spacers or anything. I know these are staggered setup so I'm wondering if it'll mess with my AWD. Would it be ok if I put the same size tires on?

You can use 2 sets of front wheels.

I heard that using a staggered set up is not good on an AWD car.

i thought alot of people using AWD used staggered set ups? Running staggered is fine as long as the rolling diameter aka tire height is all the same i thought? plus say running bigger tire in the front would promote oversteer wouldnt it? idk just my 2cents i'm pretty sure you'll be fine as long as like i said you using the same tired size all around

As long as the overall diameter of the tires are the same, running rims of different sizes would have no affect on the AWD system.

the OEM have different offset from front to back. You would need to get 4 fronts it to work correctly.

You can run aftermarket staggered wheels. But your offsets will not match front to back due to the wider tires in the rear.

Yeah, it should be fine, if the Outerdiameter of the tires are the same.

But the OE Rear 255/40/18 is A LOT larger than the OE Front 225/40/18

well I found a set of just the wheels for a great price and I would put my own all season tires, same tires front and back. Its just the staggered that's throwing me off.

best bet. buy four 18x8 wheels.

do a search. plenty of info. 3GS optional 18" wheels make good upgrades for 2IS AWD since they are 18x8.

safest would be a full set of 18x8 that way you can rotate your tires. im awd running staggered oems and ill go through tires quicker because of the staggered setup. other than that, it works fine
