Default What 3000k HID bulbs are you using?

I rcently switched out my mtec 6000k HID bulbs to 3000k. I bought the bulbs on ebay but they dont have the golden yellow look im going for, they look like a weird halogen light yellow color. Iv seen some people post pics of GOLDEN yellow HID fogs, what bulbs did you guys use. I want to be able to get the look through the bulbs as I dont want to use the yellow overlays. Thanks!

i have 3000k xenon depots.... up close they look white with a yellow tint... you can tell but not really.... only way you can confirm is when it hits the floor in front of you.... from a distance though you could tell.... and it looks really good while on the road.... i like 3k... i didn't at first though... but now i really do....

your probably talking about 2500k.... which is REALLY yellow...

Theres no such thing as 2500k, I'm using Techone and its yellow as hell! LOL I love it. Its yellow no matter where you stand and pics dont do it justice. And yes I have the overlays but it doesnt make that much of a difference.

3k bulbs come in two types.

1) chemicals inside the chamber to produce yellow light inside a clear bulb. this will yield a 3500k light which is not the desirable "jdm yellow" that most people are going after.

2) a clear light inside a yellow bulb housing. this is the TRUE 3k that everyone is chasing after.

If you want a set of HID 9006 3k bulbs, you can have a set for $60 shipped. Just lemme know.

c.
