Bump trying to true up the speedo from my new wheels size, its about 3% smaller than stock so I'm putting extra miles on my car without actually driving those miles.
you can try doing the calibration in the navi. i did this once, and it seems like it corrected the speedo a bit, but i cant be sure if it did or did not.
ROFL, that's a different calibration. The navigation calibration is the arrow on the navigation. You can move it where ever you want it to be to correct it.
Off topic, but there's also another thing when you are using you navigation; you can set your residential speed, freeway speed(i think) and Highway speed to calculation the approx. time you reach your destination.
Have a question just like the tittle says can this be done. I know other brands of cars this can be done. My service adviser said no.
Most new cars these days have a transducer to convert mechanical input from the transmission to electrical input for the speedometer. You have to find a specialist that can figure out the part you need to calibrate the speedo.
Your service advisor should have said they don't offer that service. the yellow pages usually have a Speedometer calibration section. Try N. hollywood speedometer

My size 235/35/19 + 275/30/19..... Rear has smaller dia than original....meter reading from rear wheel then??

2mph difference is actually pretty good. Stock tire size on IS350 I've noticed was about 3-4mph faster than what the speedo showed. I wouldn't change anything.

Well that's interesting cause my Garmen says I'm doing 58 and my speedo says 60
Germin Nav with me + asked my wife drive side by side on Fwy...
And Web says, compair with original 255/40/18, meter will show 265/30/19 3%faster, 275/30/19 2 % faster than actual... 20" maybe opposit?.
adding more miles than actually driven on ODOmeter...

There is no transmission input for speed on the 2IS. They use inputs from all four wheels to generate speed signals. It goes to the odometer first.
My IS was off ~ 5mph and now my GS is the same....I tend to see a pattern here with 2 Lexus cars??? I recall there was something in CarChat on here about auto MFG and them have the odometer set too fast so the car was out of warranty before it should have been.
There has to be a way to correct this. If I recall correctly a car, any MFG, has to be off by 10 or more miles for them to have to recalibrate it. I personally have never had a car off by that much.
Mines is off too, when I am going 70 mph I am really going 67-68 mph. I took it to the dealership and asked them to check it out and they said that it was fine, but I know it is still off.
