Yes, the mirrors do have a thick strip of chrome surrounding the turn signal. These are the only shots I took:

From the Lexus site's 2009 IS info:

X-Package $1,521 [3]
Available with the following exterior colors:
Tungsten Pearl
Smoky Granite Mica
Obsidian
Sport-tuned suspension
Aluminum sport pedals
Illuminated doorsill scuff plates
Aerodynamic front air dam
Exclusive 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels [4]
From Edmund's information on the 2008:
XF X Package
Includes
18" 5-spoke Liquid Graphite finish alloy wheels with 225/40YR18 front summer tires and 255/40YR18 rear summer tires, front lip spoiler,
sport tuned suspension,
alloy brake, accelerator and footrest pedals (including clutch pedal) and
illuminated scuff plates.
So the X-package loses the lip spoiler for 2009 and uses a different "aerodynamic air dam"? I'm not clear what the X-package has up there different than a non-X-package car?

These cars were manufactured back in June 08. They are pre-production 09 IS250/350's. It would be safe to say that the front lip for the X-Package was not ready for this particular IS250 at Taste of Lexus.

I dont like them. I think the aftermarket ones look much better IMO. Glad they finally did something with those side mirrors.

And the 1/4 mile Acceleration is 0.2 sec better for the 2009 MY down from 14.2 to 14.0

That's not my desired Truffle Mica.

That's Golden Almond Metallic, which I think is too "conservative" for the 2IS...

i agree, overall i think the center re-do is nice, the black is sharp, they should have left the old vents just made them black. the chrome may be a bit overdone, but it kind of dresses up the interior
