I'm pretty damn sure that thing is gone. I work in the automotive industry and I can usually tell when it's gone or not. But then again I've seen cars that have sustained $25K worth of damage and have been repaired. It looks like you're leaking transmission fluid along w/ coolant and frame could be tweaked considering you hit him at around 45mph. As stated above, airbag deployment doesn't necessarily mean a total loss, but it does add a lot of components to it. Namely the SRS control module which is usually the most expensive and must be replaced whenever ANY airbag is deployed. Hopefully insurance totals it because that's definitely what you want at this point considering that you want that very useful Tacoma.

Glad you're okay though..it sucks that your car was modified too..can't even take the stuff off and pawn it for some side cash Because I'd definitely take your wheels considering they look unscathed.

Oh...my eyes. I hate to see car accidents. Sorry this happened to you. I hope it's totaled because you don't want it back (with the attempt to fix it up) after something like this has happened. Good Luck!

sorry to hear that. I know what you mean. After an accident, the car just doesn't feel perfect anymore.

I hope all things works out for you.

if it is repaired, is the title going to change to salvaged? what is the amount in damage to be considered salvage? more than $10k?

accidents suck, especially when there's frame damage. what's worse is they fix your car and give it back to you but do not account for the diminished resale value. I'm pretty sure they will total it.

btw, see if you can snag that fab lip off the car before they take it. looks like it survived and you could sell it.

I’m very sorry to hear about your accident. With my IS being the same color, it’s particularly troubling. And I agree that you should not want the car back if repaired. Now is the time to ****** victory from defeat by getting a brand new car.
