Default 1k, 5k service

Well my 1k is coming up in a few days. So my question is What exactly do they do for your 1k Service? Another question is do they give you a full tank of gas for 1k and 5k service. Reason why I'm asking is because when I bought my car, the sale person say that on the 1k service you will get a full tank of gas. Thanks.

You get a full tank when you buy the car, that's the only time they give you free gas unless your dealership does something unusual.

At 1k they'll do your LPS if you want, otherwise they just give it a look-over, and you can report any issues you noticed since you picked it up, that's about it.

5k is your first oil change.

My dealership has filled the tank after performing Lexus recalls (e.g. the seatbelt recall), but not during routine service.

dont even bother with the 1k, just go for the free 5k, save all your tsib stuff for then, then after that never go back, change your own oil, its a toyota after all, shes good for 200k easy, make sure you tell them, 'do not wash the car'...

Why do not wash the car? They will mess it up? Only reason why im asking is because the sale person is a friend of a friend, he told me before you do anything, come to me and i will get you a full tank of gas.

Most car washes are bad from the dealer. Most of them take your car to the drive thru wash (which leaves scratches/swirl marks on your paint). Plus they don't dry the inside of your doors, trunk, ect....and don't even get me statred on cleaning the wheels.

skip the 1k..... just think of all the dirty cars that went through the wash before yours. those specs of dirt and grime can collect on the car wash and leave small scratches on the surface of your paint. best to wash it by hand at home.
