I just put on a pair of OEM rims that are finished in black chrome. They look 100 times better on the car than the stock rims. Now I just need to drop the car and I'll be happy.

Thanks guys. I hated the old rims, they just stood out too much. I had a very conservative budget, so I needed to keep the stock tires.

I found a place local to here that will do black chrome and then take your stockies as a core. All 4 rims cost me about $160 per wheel...original price was 25% higher, but I ended up getting them on sale.

Labor was $140 so I got the whole package with tax for about $840. I'd say its the best money I've spent on the car so far, they look so much better in person, the black chrome is so nice looking.

 

That looks really good. Did you trade-in? Looks like you got black pearl emblems too and what did you do to your grill bezel?

My dealership has these and they also have G-spiders in that finish and I always wondered what they would look like on SGM. Now that I've seen them, I really like them.

I would recommend some spacers to complement your future drop.

 

Thanks, I will definitely get some spacers on there when I drop it. I did the grill and emblems myself with duplicor metalcast. They came out good at first, but I didn't prep them well enough and they need a repaint.

 

It looks almost like the IS-F's rim finish.
