Default Blue Onyx Pearl VS Black Sapphire Pearl

Is there any difference between these 2 colors except one is 2006 and the other 2007? Are the color code for both 8P8??

Thanks guys!

as I heard, the Black sapphire is more like Black (very dark blue), with some dark blue Hue. (is hue is the right word? lol)

the Black Sapphire Pearl is two different kind of blues followed by a pearl clean coat that is how it get the dark blue look. so it make it look like two colors in one ( black at night and blue when it is in the sun).

they are both pretty much the same, my dad has Black Sapphire Pearl and i have Blue Onyx Pearl, the BOP is a little bit bluer than the BSP, but they are very similar

picture comparison
the LS46 is Black Sapphire Pealr, the IS250 is Blue Onyx Pearl

tbh in daylight such as those pics, you can hardly tell a difference.. i think that the Black Sapphire Pearl though, will appear Black sooner than the blue onyx pearl would, it would take less darkness to make the BSP turn black than it would for the BOP, but again, the colors are very similar

I think Blue Onyx looks bluer in direct sunlight. They are both my color of choice in their respective years though.

heres my sapphire, i thought the car was black when i first went to buy it,untill i walked upon it and saw the beautiful flakes! i know my car is a little dirty but you bet the point, black sapphire looks black unless the sun is beaming and then you can see the blue, i believe the onyx has a little more blue in it.

06 -Blue Onyx is dark blue
06 -Black Onyx is black
07-08- Black Sapphire is dark blue
07-08 Obsidian is black

Both blacks and both blues are different from each other and are not the same colors identically but are very similar.

I'm not sure, hue tell me.

The Blue Onyx almost looks a tad purplish in some of those pictures above.
