Which doesn't bypass anything and does the same thing that just pushing the pedal further down would do.
I'm understanding this a little different than you. Linear controller = more linear match. If you take it from the title of the product then this device helps match the speed of the pedal to the speed of the throttle plate. The IS has a programed throttle speed. It doesn't matter how fast you move your foot the throttle plate still only moves at that same rate. This device changes the rate (speed) of the throttle plate to be more linear to the speed of the pedal. I don't think any company would change the feature you speak of. Example: 75% pedal = 75% open throttle plate. This LTS changes the speed in which 75% pedal = 75% throttle.

Except that's impossible given how it hooks up.

It goes in-line on the wire connected to the gas pedal.

So the -only- thing it is capable of changing is the signal that tells the car how far you pressed the gas pedal.

So you can accomplish the same result, free, by pressing harder on the pedal.

There's the install info.

It's just lying to the ECU about how far you pressed the gas pedal.

I'm not going to disagree with you, b/c from the wiring I can see your logic. I need more info on how the skid control ECU relays pedal signal to throttle plate. For some reason I'm interested in this mod.

Bringing this back from the dead...

So since the last post on this thread about 7 months ago, has anyone actually installed this product to test its effectiveness? I'm very interested in it, but I would like to get more solid (not speculative) feedback from someone who has actually tried it.

Default Calibration needed?

Is there any calibration necessary, once installed?
