My HID is changing colors
Not sure if anyone has experienced this before but my driver side LOW beam 6000k D4S HID bulb has changed colors. It used to be Crystal White with a little blue in them but now its a yellowish color. I got my bulbs from Xenon Depot. Has anyone else experienced this or know why this is happening? Is there something wrong with the bulb? Here is what it looks like now.
i have the same problem... and someone else as well... there's a thread recently on it... i posted to the thread but no one responded... everyone can't have a bad bulb... i just got mine like a month ago too
hey, i had the same problem. But mine are 8000k and were blue, then became white. I have had em only for short time as well.

You know what the problem is..
NEVER leave your car on the AUTO feature for the headlights. Every time you go under a bridge or a tree overhangs and covers the light sensor for JUST a second your ballasts will fire and then turn off immediately. That is a lot of stress for the bulbs and ballasts so just click the stalk to the LIGHTS ON position, rather than leaving it in auto. And of course for the OEM HID system they can take a lot more punishment but I wouldn't do it with mine.

yeah, for sure it's the bulbs. they do that when they go bad. and like the person above me posted keeping your lights on auto does put a lot of stress on the bulbs and igniter.
hope this helps

I am unsure which sets he has but I was told by Steve that the
"1st gen" lights were philips and the extremes are Japanese.
But I am unsure if this includes the bulb or not. I would be interested to know what he has.

Ok ok, I have a question. If the OP is getting his one bulb replaced by Xenon depot thats great, but......does this now mean that the bulbs will be a different color (slightly) due to 1 bulb from 2 different sets?
Just wondering..
