Angry Keyed!!!!

Well crap..........

I decided to wash my car this morning... I was in the process of drying it when I noticed a long scratch all along the passenger side!

Whoever did it wanted to make sure they left their mark. They started right at the right tail lamp and went all they way to the head light....

I'm sooooo pissed off right... You can only see it when you stand in the rear and look towards the front... In some places I can rub my finger over it and feel the scratch, but in most places I can't...so I'm hoping Ill be able to polish.wax. it off....

Any ideas on how to go about doing it?

If you end up needing the entire side repainted, it's around a $2,000 job. At least that's what it was for me when the same thing happened to me. Hopefully your deductible is manageable. Sorry dude.

yuck, sorry to hear that this happened to you . you might wanna try asking around in the automotive care and detailing section of this forum for some further input as well. anyhow, best of luck to you, hopefully the remedy will be quick and painless.

if you can feel it with your fingernail, extensive work needs to be done to repair it and it is probably best left to be worked on by a professional

Otherwise, you can try a medium grade or even a harsher grade polish with an orbital or rotary (if you are skilled) or even hand polish.

Many key marks however will require a repaint..

sorry to hear that. I have multiple key marks on my 250AWD.
damn punks !

I love california..hearing this just makes me feel so secure about modifying my car any further Sigh. I'm sure some parts can come out of the clear coat but like you said some areas have permanent indentations and most likely won't come out. Good luck man..be careful where you park man

Curious how much it cost to have your entire car painted?
