Default Going to the Windy City

On Saturday to pick up my new IS350, I paid for it 3 weeks ago and I still haven't seen it or touched it. Ordered the 18" chrome stock wheels and an oem front lip. Going to spend two nights downtown so I can enjoy your beautiful city before heading back to Toronto, pizza at UNO'S and steak at Smith and Wollensky. Any other recommendations while I'm in town ?

Come to a meet! There is a Toyota meet in the suburbs on Saturday. If you need help getting there let me know. We also might do a photoshoot downtown afterwards.

Go to Lou Malnatis for some good deep dish pizza. What other type of food do you like? There are tons of great restaurants in Chicago.

Also, I would suggest painters taping your front end before you set off on your trip back to Toronto. It will save you many rock chips.

Skip Smith and Wollensky. Go to Ruth's Chris, Magnums or Lawry's for steak. If you are a meatlover, Go to Fogo de Chao. It's all downtown.

If you want the best Churrascaria in Chicago head to Brazzaz. Fogo is good, but the meat at Brazzaz tastes better. Skip Mortons, Skip Smith and Wollensky. If you want a good steak go to Lawry's or Chicago Chophouse. IF you want some of the best seafood in the country go to Bob Chinn's Crabhouse in Wheeling (in the north suburbs). It is my favorite restaurant in the country. Its not pretentious, its down to earth but simply the BEST seafood anywhere. Their steaks rival some of the best steak houses in the country. They are the #1 single restaurant that imports alaskan king crab straight from the docks based on annual volume. I can't even remember how many times I've been there. I've met Bob himself and he is an amazing guy.

Number 10 on the Top grossing independent restaurants in the US.

Forget the steaks .... you can always get a good steak. And the big steak chains aren't all that good, imo.

Two places worth going to:

The Frontera Grill for the best REAL mexican food around, owned by Rick Bayless.
449 North Clark Street
Highly recommended, you won't get food like this in Toronto.

Garrett's Popcorn Shop for the worlds BEST caramel corn
670 North Michigan
Prepare to stand in line, but you will be drooling by the time you order.

Make sure you visit the top of the John Hancock Tower ..

Its got the best view of Chicago.

Its better than the CN tower

If you want good Chicago pizza, go to Gino's East ...not UNO..

Mike Ditka's steak house is one of the best.

Enjoy Chicago..

Evitzee has it right. If you want amazing Mexican food Frontera is the best. However, be prepared to wait ~2 hours on Saturdays. They don't take reservations for smaller groups. You should see the crowd

Thanks for all of the replies guys, I really appreciate it. Smith and Wollensky is definitely out and Bob Chinn's is now a must. There's so much to do in Chicago, looks like I will have to come back again for another visit.

The porterhouse for 2 at Bob Chins is amazing! It also comes with crab legs or something else. Try it.
