Default Please help with tire size selection!!!

I finally decided on the wheels and I just need to pick the right size tires for them. I am lowered on Eibach Pro Kit for IS350 (1.0" front / 0.8" rear).

Front wheels: 19x8.5 +38mm offset
Rear wheels: 19x10 +43mm offset

I think it's safe to go with 235/35/19 and 275/30/19 without any mod. However, I really like to put 245/35/19 and 285/30/19.

What kind of mod would I need if I go with 245/285? Fender rolling? If so, slight fender rolling or aggressive rolling?

Do I get the fender rolling first and then go to the tire shop for tire installation? Or the other way around?

Thanks!

Totally Safe.

Correct.

Really... but your setup drops performance. Front is too wide for steering and you will need to mod the fender liner some; rear has minor chance to rub also.

Needs minor roll at rear as I recall. Since you are on spring-drop, which is not as agreesive as coilover-drop that allows lower drop so the rear wheels would tug/camber more when pressed.

I recommend do both at the same shop.

Just use the safe spec. It save you some time, and some money for better tires.

2 cents from me,
Joseph

ps. These tips should be 25 cents.

if its helps i've ran 19x9.5 with 225/30/19 and 19x10 with a 235/35/19 with only a slight fender roll. any of the set-ups your thinking of should work just fine... although the 285 may be a little big.. you dont want that over inflated look

even if he runs a tire that is fitted perfectly with the tire its gonna look wide just because its a 10"wide

could be wider = more traction?

245 will rub on the inside of the fender well. 235 and 275 widths with those offsets seem to work the best while avoiding rubbing

235/35-19 front you are fine!

275/35-19 rear and you are fine!

if you have 18" OEM rims this will put you right back to OEM....I have the same set up on my car lowered. You will not push a 245 tire with out front fender mods. I just clear the liner!!! the rear you wont need to roll the fender with your offset. I had to roll my fender in the rear for +38 offset and I just barely rubbed over large bumps and dips. I have no troubles now. 285 you for sure will need mods to the rear fender! I think you are pushing that one....IMO/

Yea for BIG tires!! haha....

Thanks josephdoc and everyone else for the help. I'm not into performance, more into the look and I really like the wide tires. Also 245/285 will provide slightly wider sidewall which I assume better ride quality and wheel protection than 235/275??. So I do need to find a shop that does tire installation and the fender rolling service to do them at the same time as well as the alignment. Any recommended shops in Orange County, California? Thanks again!

Is rubbing inside the fender well something simple to fix - can the shop who will do fender rolling take care of this? Thanks!

Yes they can mod the fenders and liners for you! Please do post pics after and post your details in the aftermarket wheel thread. I believe you will be the first to run this tire size
