Thoughts about the AWD
does lexus have any particular reason for not making an:
-IS 250 AWD Manual?
-IS 350 AWD?
-IS 350 Manual?
-IS 350 AWD Manual?
it's such a hard decision: power, AWD, or manual... why don't they just put them all into one car.
I ended up going with the 250 AWD, but if it were available I would have definitely gotten the 350 AWD.

OP, I actually drove the 6MT IS250 before I was driving my current AWD. In a nutshell, there was lots of shady stuff that went on during my original deal, thus eventually landing me in an IS250 AWD. There's definitely a heavier feel in the AWD, but personally, I noticed no difference in performance other than the fact that the 6MT gave me more control over shifting.
I always had the IS350 in the back of my head, but like many others, I went with the IS250 AWD because it was enough for me, and knowing myself, 300+ hp at my age would spoil my brain and only have me wanting more power. It gets me where I want to go, and when the weather's bad, I can cruise in comfort (while taking precautions, of course).

The mid-sized, front-wheel drive ES 350 ($34,120, 272 horsepower, 0 to 60: 6.8) appears to be a more feasible purchase over the compact, all-wheel drive IS 250 ($34,485, 204 horsepower, 0 to 60: 8.3).

An IS350 AWD would reduce the market for the GS350 AWD. There's a line between Lexus' goals as a company and marketing to what Lexus consumers need/want. I'm guessing they didn't release a manual IS350 because their market didn't typically include performance enthusiasts (until recently, aka F).
