my friend bought me the sport pedals and the f-sport intake for being her best friend. SHE IS AWESOME! well anyways i installed the intake no problem. took me about 20mins. but oh man when it came to those pedals i wasted about 2 hours of my life. i read the DIY on how to put them on. sounded simple enough. i got the gas pedal on pretty fast. i assumed teh brake and clutch would be a simple slip on. haha i thought wrong. i used soap and then grease to try to get them on, both failed. what i'm wondering now is has anyone put them on a MT? if so share the tail of how you defeated the MT sport pedals.

Wow, that is a lot of time wasted, and you still didn't get them on? I wonder if using a heat gun would soften the material enough to allow an easier install?

yeah she is a really good friend. been friends for 19 years now. yeah i jsut got back in. i didnt use a heat gun but i had really hot water and let them sit in there for a min. to soften them up. still wont go on haha. i might just make some cuts to make it flex. kinda worried it might come off in the future though. oh well if no one else has ideas then i'm gonna do that tomorrow.

soap works the best.....and you need to slip them on, north to south and then stretch the top part over. strong fingers are a must.

the gas pedal is suppose to be the hardest part. the clutch and brake should be the easy ones. i changed the clutch and brake in like 5 mins. slip off/slip on. dunno why yours is so difficult.

I got them on. Don't cut it, whatever you do! That's a really bad idea. What I used was some soapy water. Try to stretch it out a bit and start from the top of the pedal down. By hand you should be able to get about 60% of it onto the pedal.

If you imagine it, you will have the top rubber lip of the sport pedal lined up with the top lip of the actual pedal and half of the sides done. Now the trick then is to sit in your car and step on the pedal with your foot. Sweep your foot in a downward motion, trying to "scrape" your foot from the top of the pedal to the bottom of the pedal. Since your legs have much more strength, it will stretch the rubber the rest of the way and should slide on. Make sure to apply pressure as if pushing the pedal down also.

That should do it. Took me about 10 min to figure it out after 20 min of trying. After that, I got them on in about 10 more minutes.
