High mounted tail light
would guess it has that lift because ALL is-f's comes with spoiler, and is'ses has spoiler just as an option.
So when is-f come with spoiler from factory, I think it should be due to some regulations that stop light has to come thru..

^^ Well, the fact is, the CHMSL in the ISF is raised slightly and it's raised because the ISF spoiler sits slightly higher than the standard spoiler.
However, in 99% of situations. the CHMSL would be visible even if it weren't raised. I'm sure that if your spoiler is in fact as tall as the ISF's, a portion of the CHMSL would be blocked if you were parked behind your car, in say, a Miata. This is the 1% that Lexus was compensating for, I'm sure.

I thought about getting the CHMSL kit, but after a few random tests I decided it was unecessary...
For the record I think the IS-F CHMSL is the same found in the current GS Models. (even without the spoliers)
