Default Anyone Else Getting over 35MPG?

I've had my 2007 IS 250 w/ X-Package for a little over a year now. It has 12K miles and is in tip top conditions. I've noticed that I have been getting excellent mileage recently. Two weeks ago I was driving back from Sacramento and averaging 36mpg. When I first got my car, I would only average about 28 but now that its broken in I average over 33 on the freeway. At first I thought, the meter was reading wrong but I calculated it manually and got the same MPG. In city driving, I only average 23MPG, but on pure freeway driving with no traffic and cruise control, I get kick *** mileage. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've posted this before but I get a tick over 30 mpg averaging 70 mph on the highway with the 350. Gas mileage in the winter is noticeably less though (probably 10%)

Im hardly ever on the freeway... but ive gotten 30+ on some of my longer trips. Id say 35+ is insane though.

That IS good. I'm doing a little more city driving recently so I'm down to right around 29 mpg for a tank. Pure highway I get about 31-33 depending.

That is great to here you obtain 35 MPG. You must have installed one of the State of the Art Magnetic Fuel Line Adapters (Rolling my eyes...lol) off Ebay. I do have to agree, my MPG has improved now that the car is broken in at 12k. The car also drives so much smoother as well. I really never pay attention to mileage or price at the pump to be honest. I wish I could diss-engage the AWD for the summer.

Did I mention I live in the Central Valley, close to Fresno? Its all FLAT so maybe that has something to do with my mileage?

If I baby the entire tank, and do only my work commute of 26 miles each way, about 75% freeway, with great luck on traffic, I can get 28.5 MPG on California winter gas with an IS350. I totally believe you can get your 36 MPG on a long drive to Sacto in your 250 with summer gas and good traffic and wind assistance.

Wow! That's awesome. Honestly, I hardly pay attention to gas/mileage until it's time to refill. I live in the central valley too, so I'll have to start checking it out. Nice pic of the IS and Z.
