I'm sensing a little loss of love in this post???.....

Anyway, even though we may have among the worst roads here (WI- ever SEEN the streets here?), I have no rattles when the stereo's on...

....but choose your poison....

I'm disappointed in my ISX50 because I have problems with:

1. Rattles
2. Wind noise
3. "Change" drawer
4. It's too quiet
5. Tire noise
6. Clicking noise when I apply the turn signal
7. [enter gripe here]

I could go on but hopefully the point is made....

I had an 02 RSX that rattled, but not as badly as the IS, and an 06 330 that never made a peep, and I beat the living hell out of that car (after break-in, of course). From what I understand, previous generations of Lexus were much better in this respect as well.

Honestly, some of the things I've seen lead me to believe that Lexus has become a bit complacent with their place in the market. Back in the day, Lexus/Toyota had to be better to beat the big boys, now that they are the big boys, I feel a bit like they have flatlined somewhat. I hope that I'm wrong, and that the cheapness that has crept into the brand is just a fluke.....

well, i still prefer lexus' interior quality to almost all other vehicles. when they came out with all the new generations of vehicles a couple years ago, i was amazed. i was kinda in the same mindset as you, fiveohnine, i knew lexus had an enormous breakthrough when it was first released ('89?) but was getting tired of their same builds, how they looked so identical.

then i was thoroughly satisfied with their efforts to make another breakthrough by implementing their "l-finesse" theme. i appreciate the fact i can look at one of their models and think "its similar to the previous generations, yet so much different". they kept the models' character, which is what i like

considering they're now making "F" the title for their breakthrough into the performance world, well, im excited to see where that goes
