Default Light Wheels

Hey guys,

What is the lightest wheel you could ever get?

And, is it possiable to get a VIP style rims and manage to get a light one as well??? is there such a thing out there?

Also, how much goes the oem G-spider wheels weight??

Finally, when you say light wheels, what is the range of the weight , i mean between what to what is considered light??

G's are about 28lbs IIRC. VIP and lightweight are, for the most part, mutually exclusive.

Lightweight 18's should be in the 18 to 24 lb range, where 18 is very light.

Lightweight 19's should be in the 20 to 26 lb range.

The type of metal, process used to build (forge, cast), weight diameter, width and design all affect weight.

What size wheels are you looking for?

Stock 18's are 18x8 Front (and awd), 18x8.5 Rear.

disclaimer: this is all my opinion, obviously there are lighter wheels than I mentioned, and many people will disagree on what is considered 'light'

You should be able to get 20's in the same ballpark as the stock weight. You will have a much harder time getting lighter than that, especially if you go VIP.

Yeah, I just noticed all the stuff in his sig that's he's done and is planning to do.

OP, you gotta honestly ask yourself if you care about weight that much. Given the stuff you're carrying around with you and the stuff you want to lug.....a few pounds on each wheel is a drop in the bucket.

Sorry dude, I think you've chosen a path which leads you to the darkside.

I duno about you, but my set of wheels that i spend over 5000$ on them have already some damage dur to the potholes , cuz my ride is as you clearly see is already heavy. So by getting a lighter wheels i well be getting a faster car (abit) a potholes proof and a good looking wheels

20" forged Wald PORTFINO weigh about 25lbs, but cost about 5K...
Big lightweight wheels are expensive.
