if you really want what you want...then it is worth the wait to order it.

Ya I been there done that, I actually have gone over to the dark side (BMW) did the whole order a 335 coupe with the options i want any everything, the wait killed me but i got the car, but its about to be a lemon very soon. in the last 60 days its at the dealer at least 15 days. So I don't have a few months to wait to order the car. BMW is used to it and has there production line setup like that but not Lexus.

^^ irrelevant post.

to the OP: if the options don't matter, take your pick of color. if the options do, then it shouldn't matter what color the 2is is.

I hate to wait.. I came up on a GFM on blk with just the premium package, which is pretty much standard, because I was tired of getting the run around from different dealers and sales people...

It was the only GFM 250 or 350 with in the 5 dealers in my area. There were 2 more dealers in the state but I wasn't risking driving 2 hours to see if they may have it. Also it was at the end of july and the talk of pre-orders on 08 was about to start. I'm glad I picked up an 06 because i'm so not a fan of the sharkfin

Don't get the GFM..it looks dirty like 75% of the time, the only time it looks nice is in bright sunny settings when you can hardly tell the two whites apart.

I chose 250 over 350 because of the color I wanted >_<, but than again the only 350 they had was the light blue one. I'd go with the one that has the options you like, cuz starfire pearl isn't that bad of a color.

Agree, don't get a GFM. Not becuse "it looks dirty" but because it makes the GFM more rare on the road HAHA

Don't settle if it's what you really want.

Try looking around a bit more to find out if it's really not available.

Just my 2 cents.

GFM is a unique color, not for me thou... get the starfire with the nav/ml, you wont regret it the first time you take the car into full sunlight

Not exactly sure where you are at, but if it's So Cal it shouldn't be too hard to find the car you want. I'd drive six hours for a color =)

If you're going to have me pick between ML and a color....go with the color. Without ML, you won't know what you're missing so to speak. Unless you have a buddy with ML.

Do you spend more time inside the car or more time standing outside the car looking at it?

In my case it's the first one, so I'd go with the ML.

Then again I'm a big proponent of why spend 30-40k on something that isn't -exactly- what you want, so I special ordered... but I understand not everyone has a spare car they can use while they wait.

You can get used to the color, I would not want the IS without the ML/nav! Or, bite the bullet and special order, like I did.
