So after the long 10 week wait for my Tom's rear lip to come in. It finally arrived (Thanks to Carson Toyota for all the part on my car)... But anyway I dropped off the car at the body shop last night to have the following installed and painted btw I have a Starfire Pearl

Paint front grill gloss black and also the covers next to the fog lights and plastic under the grill also in gloss black
Shave and paint the trunk lid (wouldn't have to if it was a 350 )
Install the tom's rear
Install the Jun roof spoiler
Lastly paint the roof black

My question is what would you guys do if my roof is black would you make the roof spoiler black or starfire pearl??

roof spoiler = black... if you paint it white, i dont think the contrast will look all that great.

do you already have the front and side Tom's pieces?

 

I have the Oem GFX front and side installed already but now I'm getting the Tom's reap lip installed

 

I think black roof + black roof spoiler + dark tint FTW!

White will throw off the black roof IMO.

 

I didn't know shaving the emblem's gave you that much more horsepower!

 

It's all about the weight reductions... And of course to confuse people

yea like everone else said, if ur gonna paint the roof black, def paint the roof spoiler black as well.
Ive even seen some white cars with a black rear deck spoiler to match the black roof, looks pretty sick.

 

If you shave the runk, you may be looking at some massive BHP gains (LOL). I think you should stick to black for the roof spolier. Post some pics when you are done. Can't wait to see the grill.

So after reading the replies on to this thread I called my body shop to let him know what to do with the roof spoiler.. This is what he said “lets paint it white first just to see what it looks like and if you don't like the way it looks I will paint it black for free”... He also said that it should be done on Friday so if it is I will be taking pictures this weekend (I finally bought a good camera Nikon D80)… Hopefully the weather is nice this weekend forecast says it’s going to rain Friday and Saturday in New Jersey….

Yea it's my friend's body shop he's the one that wants to see what it will look like with it in white because he said it's easy to go from white to black but its hard to get the right color match for the starfire pearl...

Anyway here is what the car looked like a few weeks ago
