Is it just me or is it EXTREMELY frustrating to use the 12v outlet in the center console, because no matter what i plug in, i cannot close the cover to use as an armrest anymore.

I wish they would make it a little deeper so you could charge something with the cover closed all the way or have that outlet be on even though the car is off.

 

I had to find a car charger for my phone that would fit in there, and i happened to find one on ebay. I have the Sprint Mogul, uses the USB plug to charge, and i found an OEM Motorola charger that has blue lighting on the plug.. the head of the plus is flat with a blue motorola emblem on it. It fits perfectly!

I found a dual plug with a 90 degree bend in it at radioshack IIRC....Cheap, dual power, works like a charm and fits like a glove.

For this reason, I have a dual outlet adapter for the ashtray power source. The center arm rest is a pain with it open.
