Red-outs: AeroTect vs. Rvinyl
I am in the process of applying red-outs to my tail lights. I couldn't make up my mind when using the red-outs from AeroTect or from Rvinyl, so I ordered a red-out kit from both places to compare the differences/quality.
They both seem to be the same color red.
In the picture:
Left side- AeroTect
Right side- Rvinyl

Nice to have that comparison illustrated with pics for all CL members. It will be a good idea to keep a set for a spare. I often wondered if their was a noticable difference between both companies. Looks basically the same to me other than a little sizing. This is my favorite mod, especially the best enhancement for the least amount of money. I was happier than "Two Bugs In A Bakeshop" when I installed mine in Oct.

First mod I did was Rvinyl redouts. Nice fit, no trimming, color matches great. Anyone thing the Aerotects are a too dark? Most of the pics I see of the Aeros looked a little dark for some reason. Although the side by side pics look like the same color. Maybe its just me.

I love the way this thing looks...there's just one thing that bothers me.
On such an expensive car, does it cheapen up the look by putting on a $10 sticker?
My other concern would be long term sun damage to the area that's covered.

When I did my redouts, I drew a template directly off of the rear turn signal and cut my redouts off of some left over rvinyl redout sheet I got from a friend. My self-cut redouts look a lot like the Rvinyl redouts. Color wise, rvinyl matches spot-on.
