Default Navigation Screw-up!

Occasionally, my 2006 IS350's nav would give me the wrong location, so when I had it back to the dealer for the fuel line recall, I reminded them of the TSB regarding the issue. I'm thinking updated maps and NOT loss of my over-ride. The dealer installed 86271-53021 Disc and now I have lost a VALUABLE asset in the ability to over-ride and suspect that the maps are not different at all. I have search for information on this but have come up empty. Anyone have any insights on this???

Yup, override is gone. I'm unsure if get newer maps in exchange though.

You can physically hack the wiring to get the non-crippled nav back, or there's a $299 device that does it without cutting wires.

You do NOT get newer maps with the TSB update.

That sucks! For the few times that map orientation was off, I paid a HIGH price to correct it as I always used the over-ride. The cutting wires option isn't in the cards for me. Oh well
