You know what my customers do sometimes? they complain about something that the tech cannot verify, therefore getting a free wash. Just make up a suspension creaking noise, that's probably my #1 complaint that is never verfied. jackass customers.
i go to lexus of norwood in norwood, ma. when i bought my car i was offered free lifetime car washes for my vehicle. i just roll in and tell the tech for a wash. i go upstairs grab a turkey wrap, coffe or water and some pastry. or i bring my laptop and surf the web and find other IS owners ;p
As for the car wash goes, it's pretty good I have to say. Doesn't leave any swirl marks that I saw of. Of course I know at least microscopic ones are there but I only use it when I'm on the go, getting service or it's winter. They towel dry it for me too. I've had the car since last July or August and I've gone in for a free wash at least 5 times already. Of course when summer comes, I bring to my local detailing shop and have them buff out and swirls and it's good as new. My car is black too so it definately shows up when there are swirls but the shop does a good job of fixing it. Not to mention the NXT 2.0 wax I use covers any swirls I haven't buffed out yet. So yeah, it's prettydecent.
Lexus USA wants every dealer to provide the best service possible of course. but what kind of service provided is up to each dealer. I wouldn't go to the dealer just for a car wash, they'll take as long as they want since it's complimentary, and I'm not a really patient person. My dealer wouldn't even take care of the brake dust/squeak problem for me, why would I expect them to give me free car washes.... I have cashmere interior and always get oil marks here and there when my car comes out of services.

you made the mistake of believing a salesman. they only job is to make a sale.
Some dealerships even have people to call you and say they'll go lower on a price by couple thousand just to bring u back in and re negotiate but won't go that low

some of us dont have a choice in the winter months its like one of a few options in my area. so either let the SALT sit on your car or have them wash it for you! Last winter was really bad. I need a heated garage with a drain in it

LOL, come to Chicago when it's 0 degrees and try washing your car.
Well, I filed a complaint w/ Lexus and what I got from was that Lexus of Serramonte does not provide free washes except when the car is in for service. No big surprise there.
So, now that Lexus Corp can't do anything about this, I can only deal w/ the dealership directly. I hate confronting dealerships because they're all such a bunch of *******s and douche bags.
