Default Big 3 Upgrade

Has anyone done the big 3 upgrade on an IS350? I am curious how hard it is to get to the alternator.

Also, where is the wire that goes from the engine block to the chassis?

I'll be attempting this in a couple months. I'll report back if no one else does.

LOL... I already did the battery ground to chassis one. That was easy. I kinda need to know by the next 2 weeks for the other 2.

That one cable alone... no.

I don't have the amp installed right now. I sent it off to get fixed (keep going into protect mode). When I did have it in though... every time the bass would hit, the RPM's would drop a little bit. I'm hoping finishing the Big 3 will help.

I'm running an Elemental Designs nine.1 @ 1200 watts and using 0/1 gauge wire and an Optima Yellow Top.

In short, its upgrading the stock wiring that goes to the battery to help the electrical system flow a little better.

I'm doin a JL 1000/1 and 300/4 to a Batcap and Optima Yellow, all with 0 gauge wiring. I looked into a bigger alternator with no luck.

Yea, as far as I know... no one makes an upgraded alternator for us. You can always have the stock one rewound though.

If the Big 3 doesn't help, I'll jsut add another battery in the trunk.

Well i did just the big 1 (negative to chassis) and it helps in my application since I am running 4 gauge to a 800 watt amp. Sound is clean with no dimming whatsoever. I am sure you will need to do the other 2 since ur system is bigger.

Yup, that's why I'm wondering is anyone knows where the stock engine block to chassis is. I want to run a 0/1 gauge along side it. I wanna do the same with th alternator.
