Default First Post... Tein S-Tech (Tried Search)

Hey all this is my first post. I recently purchased an IS250 RWD, and now I'm deciding what to lower my ride on. I'm extremely interested in purchasing Tein S-Techs made for the IS350 (since they don't have em for 250s), since I can get them at a really good deal through a friend. Now, I know the IS350 is heavier than the 250 giving me the impression that the IS250 won't sit as low as the IS350.

I guess the questions I have are: how much higher will the IS250 sit? Will it sit higher only in the front (due to a lighter engine), or will the IS250 sit higher than the 350 in the front and rear?

It would help if anyone has pics (which I also tried searching for) of IS250s lowered on Tein S-Techs. I found one pic of an IS250 lowered on S-techs, but from the angle the shot was taken at, it was hard to tell how low the car sits... plus it was an AWD.

Thanks All!

OH YEAH! I also had a friend assume that if I were to lower my IS250 on springs made for an IS350, that my car would be a little more bouncy in the front since the springs were made to accommodate the heavier engine of the 350. If it is bouncier, will it be a hectic ride? K that's all forealz now!

IS250 RWD and IS350 RWD I believe are similar in weight. AWD is a bit heavier due to its AWD system.

i think many are using the 350 springs on the 250...not sure i have seen it with the Tein but i parked next to a 250 at discount tire and WOW...i didnt realize how much my car was dumped with them...HAHA i just kept looking at both our cars but that person had a clean car in IL and mine was dirty...BUT SLAMMED!!!

I dont see why you cant if many are using the Eibach kit the same way. The TeinS is the way to go!! You can sell them for a good deal if you dont like them since you are getting a good deal!!

POST PICS!!!!!!!!!

i usually agree to disagree w/ IS_NIICE, but this time i agree w/ him.

iirc, the is250 and is350 share the same stock springs.

and if that IS the case, why not use is350 suspension components for the is250?

Thanks everyone for all of your input. I think I'm gonna go ahead and get the springs. I'll post pics as soon as I get the springs installed... then prolly later again to show my car after the springs have settled.

I love my Tien S springs, i think the amount of drop is awesome, but if you are **** retentive, be aware the passenger side front will sit 1/4" higher than the drivers side. You CAN see that, FYI. I does not bother me, but there is a difference. The rear is even.

^^ i think it's to compensate for the driver's weight when the driver is in the car.

and if that is the case, that corner of my car should be tilted up 3/8 inch. lol.

Measure it with the stock springs, it is tilted as well, the same amount. It is just harder to tell because it is camoflauged by sitting higher. The only way to make it dead level is with coilovers, that is why I have coilovers or I would not have sprung all the extra cash for them, but I am very **** retentive.
