changed mine on IS250 lease and went with G37
originally i went from an IS250 lease agreement and decided to back out and go with the G37 coupe.
specifics for the IS lease:
Base IS250 12 miles per year $513/month 35 months
due at signing: only 1st months payment.
sticker 33,800 selling price 31,800
2yr free scheduled maintenance
specifics of the G37 lease: being sent from SoCal
2008 infiniti g37 journey with premium and tire and performance package
MSRP 39,815 selling price 35,315 (1000 under invoice)
total due at signing: $490
39 months 12000 miles per year $490/month for 38 months
2yr scheduled maintenance free
what do you think? i think i got a great deal. SoCal is very competitive! locally, no dealer would touch that price.

The only reason you have a better lease program is because the G37's aren't selling and the dealers need to get rid of them... Think about it how many g37's do you see on the streets compared to IS or even G35's... At least in New Jersey no one has the G37

Write us a comparo on the 2 cars after you get adjusted to the G37. Congrads on the 2 cars. Sounds like a good deal from the #'s...as someone else mentioned about turning in the lease you can do that at any dealer cant you? assume one moves out of state i wouldnt think they can make you bring it back to that dealer. its the financial company that holds the car not that dealer if i am correct in that?

great decision on power...
I used to own a G35 coupe purchased new and its got power...nice kick for a good time...very torquey engine especially down low..
but the lease is the route to go u dont wanna own it..cause The G35 is also a poorly built car with a bunch of annoying problems...as I'm quite sure the G37 is....great engine...but "ehhh" on mostly everything else
I test drove an IS250 before I got my IS350 and its a night and day difference in the power of the 250 vs G35 coupe
the g35 is more on par with a 350 - power wise
power wise a g37 will smoke a 250 without breakin a sweat
So you'll have a much better time if you are into cars with some kick to them.
if not...then the Lexus Is250 is a better all around car - built much better than any infiniti/nissan
you may become very familiar with the inside of the Infiniti service center though

I was surprised to see this thread because I just got quotes on an IS350 with prem and Nav packages. The leases on lexus's are not good at all. $600plus per month on 3 year, 10K miles/yr with no money down. Lexus is completely geared toward purchasing and the lower residuals reflect that. I owned 3 Lexus's in the past, GS300, GS400 and IS300, but I purchased them all and was surprised to see the high leases.
My disappointment was only with the money side of it. I love the 350, fun drive and well built and lots of power.
I now have a G37 journey with prem, sport, nav for $500/mth incl tax.
This is a Lexus forum and I figure there is some prejudice, but the G37 and the newer Infinitis have much more refined interiors. The G37 reminds me of the IS interior in terms of quality. I was partial to the IS's nice interior because of the past lower quality Infiniti interiors, including the G35 sedan I turned in. But not any more. Take one for a spin if you don't think so.

He can return the car to any Infinity dealer near him. This is especially true for Lexus. Your suppose to return the car to the original dealer but you just call up a local dealer and tell them you want to return a lease. The dealer is not obligated to take it back because they didn't sell the car but 99.9% of them will because they get first crack at the car to make it a CPO. Especially if it's in good shape. Many times dealers have to go to auction to find a used car but if someone brings it in, they get to see it first and if they don't like it, they put it on auction. It's not like they take a financial hit for taking in your lease. Also, the dealer has an oppertunity to sell you another car or lease since you just turned in your car.

I must second that the interior has come a long way on Infiniti G35-37
the plastics are still a little second rate compared to Lexus but the overall interior looks much better.
My issue is the build quality, and Im not just speaking from hear-say. I acutally owned one for 3 years before I sold it with only 14K on it- mainly because I knew it would not be like my ES300 which still rides lovly even with 104K on her...with little issues over the 8 years I've had it.
I also know over 50 G35 coupe and sedan owners who complained and had multiple issues very common with the car in like the first 5000 miles of it.
From Trannies - to window motors...its just not like when nissan built cars well--memories
but if you dont mind going to the service dept more than I think you should (14Kmi x 10 service visits for different crap) hey ..its a blast to drive no doubt!
