Default Painting my 4 emblems black

I am thinking of painting my 4 emblems black. the "L" in the front, "L" in the back "lexus" and "is250", however people are telling me to buy a new set of emblems at the dealership and paint them and stick them on. I dont want to waste my money on buying new emblems. I was wondering if there was a way to just take off the emblems and just restick them after i paint and clear coat them. Is there any way? can anyone tell me in specific detail on how to restick my emblems back without buying a new one? Put glue on it? or anything? thank you

the thick 3M double-sided tape should work just fine..

You should use some black electrical tape over the emblems to see the look before you paint.
