Exclamation +12v Power for HEADRESTS from NAV Unit

I have taken +12v supply from behind the NAV from an orange wire. I have attached a pic with the orange wire I am referring to circled with a red line.

I am using this +12v supply to power a DVB-T tuner that has a 6W consumption and also two headrests that according to the user manual have a <10W consumption each. So it is about 26W consumption in total. But each headrest seems to be fitted with a 2A fuse. I am just thinking, if the headrests are fitted with 2A fuse each doesnt that make each one have a consumption of 24W. If that is the case then the total consumption would end up being 54W.

Can anyone please tell me if there is enough supply coming into that orange wire for running these devices of it? and is there anyway I can find out exactly how many amps are on that orange line?

Thank you.

You would use an ammeter to see how much current the NAV unit is currently using.

I'm not sure of the wire guage off hand, but this website will list the max current rating for the wire guage. It looks like 12-18 guage wire. You can use the current from the nav unit with your other devices to see if this wire is safe to carry that much current.

i'm currently running the 2 headrests & the DVB-T box with total consumption of about 26W. If there wanst enough current coming from that orange NAV +12V supply, wouldnt I have problems by now? and what would happen if I dont have enough? a fuse would blow?

one particular headrest of mine seems to be giving my intermittent problems where all of a sudden the screen just goes completely white and only way to get it back up is either pressing power button off and on. Or changing the video input source and putting it back to the correct input source.

Can anyone please tell me if this could be related to possible insufficient current? but it also happens if I only have just one monitor on and it never happens to the other monitor. Just this particular one.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thanks
