Picked up some new wheels. Took my old ones with the TPMS in them and sat them in the corner of my bike trailer. I've been riding around for @ 100 miles for two days and have no warning on the dash yet. Whats going on? Is their some kind of delay before they reset? Does the system only check for TPMS every few hours of run time? Someone clue me in please. I'm still going to do the pipe bomb mod this weekend, even if I don't need it yet.

Dude, you ask the question without posting pics

I've read on the forum before that if you the wheels are within range upon startup, that you can go quite a few miles without having the light turn on.

LOL, Pics will come with the next mod.... due in tommrow...HeHe. I went around again tonight, about another 40 miles and still no light. Also the rims are nowhere close to my car upon start up. I'm sure it will come on while I'm sitting in traffic with a headache and never stop flashing..

How long are your trips each time you drive in terms of minutes? I figured out that the system checks after 30 minutes so if you're always doing short trips and shutting off the car, you won't get the warning. My trip to work can take anywhere from 25-35 minutes depending on traffic so there are days when I can avoid the warning and other days that I can't.

Go by time not mileage, 30min or so then the warning comes on, going 40mi in a 350 takes what... 20sec?
