Default VSC Light, Ck Engine Light, Car Sluggish

Have an '06 IS250. The day after last service visit, car's VSC and engine lights came on, and the car was sluggish and bucking. Took it back in to the dealer - no codes had recorded and although they kept it for 2 days, nothing appeared to be wrong. A month passes and then same thing happened last night - VSC and engine lights on, car bucking and won't go above 40. Took it to dealer today and again, no coded recorded and of course they can't duplicate the event. Any suggestions?

Typically a vacumn leak in either the fuel cap or aftermarket intake does this on the 250.

Here you go, sounds like a $600 charcoal canister for the emission system under warrenty.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Dealer says it's none of the things you mentioned, they've called CA, but they don't have a TSB on this so I'm out of luck. The service guy sounded like he was reading from a maunal entitled "What to tell people when their expensive car is screwed up and we don't know how to fix it."

What you say doesn't make sense. If the "check engine" light came on, a code should have been recorded. It has to work that way according to federal emissions law. Knowing that code would be a great help in diagnosing the problem.

Yes,

take it back to the dealer or try another dealer, you can go where you please for warrenty service.

its the sensor on your intake that needs replacement. i forgot what it's called but its on top of your oem intake pipe.

your car has EXACT same symptoms of mine so i'm pretty sure tahts what it is. i got it replaced under warranty.

I had this same problem. They said one of my O2 sensor went bad. Took it in had it fixed, then a week later it came back on again. Took it back, and the dealer said it was my 2nd 02 sensor that went bad.

Hopefully i won't have to take it in yet again.
