I'm thinking about getting an rsx type s as a second car. I feel like the is350 is too heavy and I like the pull on the rsx.

I love my IS350, but the s2k was way more fun, period.

Covertible, manual, driver and handling focused, 2-seater in a place like HI?
Even after few grand in suspension mods to the is350 the handling just doesn't have the same
feel, even if it probably corners just as fast. Take it from me, who shopped for a newer low mileage
s2000 after a teenager totalled mine, those cars are retaining/increasing their value at a crazy rate.

While the IS350 is losing value as any used car, I think
insurance co. valued my s2000 the same what I payed 3+ years ago.

Buy it, you'll love it.

I couldn't find an s2000 in the condition and mileage that mine was in my area.

Thanks for your input. In vancovuer we have a racecar tax lol most ap1's run for 10 - 15k while ap2's run 20 - 30k. thats why im considering a rsx type s for like 7k. Still get that dose of vtec. I feel like it kicks in so much harder than when i floor my is350.

I don't own the RSX but my friend who owned it used to brag about how fast this car is and even said thing like smoke the IS in all categories: handling, speed, brake, comfort, look etc.

Later he was trading his RSX in for something else and then he praises the BMW 335i so much and talked trash about my IS again. Guess what he ended up buying: Toyota Prius!!!! He even calls this car chick-magnet. What can I say? Priceless!!!

I fall in love with the IS look when it first came out in 2006 but I could not afford one back then. I kept dreaming, working hard and chasing my dream car that I can afford realistically. 6 years later, I purchased the IS250 brand new. I like it so much that and heard how much better the IS350 is so I purchased another IS350 I seriously just love Lexus IS.

IS350 is the straight line beast from the stop. It got luxury, it got technology, it looks beautiful and smexy inside and outside. It is reliable as hell. It handles damn good with the right upgrades. It is comfortable on daily commute and it wakes up like a monster at autocross and track. It is hell lot of fun driving this baby IS I have been smiling everyday driving this baby Lexus IS everyday for years Nothing to complain except my wallet dropping weight sometimes lol.

Nice to hear how happy you are with your cars. I wonder how the f-sport sounds like on a 250 vs the 350.
