Default cupholder under armrest

dont know if its been mentioned before...i did a short search and didnt find anything....today i found out that u can pull up and remove the "wall" that makes up the back of the cupholder....makes the armrest compartment so much bigger......if you never use the cupholder....

just thought id share with u guys....

Awesome find - didn't know that either. Unfortunately, I need to use it since the regular cupholder is hopelessly shallow for most liquids.

Thanks for sharing! I have to use that cupholder though, since the cup holder on the center console gets in my way of shifting .

that's great i'll try tmr. I feel like I learn something new everyday in this car. For instance when I first got my car I was mad that my sunglasses were too big for the sunglass holder, and then it wouldnt fit in the door pocket (with case) so I had it in the glove compartment - which is a pain. Today for some reason I pulled that door pocket and noticed that it extends!! this allowed the case to fit in and then i was able to lock it in place. What a cool feature.

lol doesnt your dealership key you in on these? its deffinatly a useful tip having that cupholder come out, its really nice if you dont drive around with cups cluttering up your console (which i hate seeing in cars =p), and makes the center console have alot more room - its annoyng having to have a pencil in the space and it doesnt it, its gotta be tilted up onto the top of the cupholder wall lol

same for the shifting haha and my ipod sits in the further most cup holder, with the wires running in through the arm rest.....normally i don't have anything in the car, but when your on the go and busy you have to. the front cup holder, holds my 60 gig ipod perfectly and the cup holder area in the center console holds my digi in place also when i don't have a drink.
