Traffic

Does anyone know what the traffic button on the radio is for? I couldnt find anything in the owners manual that talks about it.

I think its for big cities where they have traffic stations, when you press the button it looks for a traffic station.

It searches each FM station's RDS tag for a 'Traffic' designation. For example, here in Pasadena the 'traffic' station is 89.3 KPCC (the local National Public Radio affiliate). It's one of the features you might use a handful of times you own your car - it's a wasted button IMO.

If you hit the button when you are in traffic, (2) .50 Cal guns and a grenade launcher pop out of the grille and clear the path in front of you.

musta been a 2nd gen option... my 1st gen only searches for traffic updates. is there a retro fit kit available?

I would have preferred (2) Klingon Disruptors and a Romulan cloaking device.

Back to the topic though, I do not believe the Traffic scan function finds anything in the Dallas area. I'll have to try it again. However, I like XM traffic and weather.

Maybe I'm missing something here, I've never noticed the traffic button, I'll have to look on my commute home.
