Default NE1 having a fuel dilution problem?

Took my daughter's 07 IS 250 AWD into my local non Lexus mechanic for a state inspection and oil change. Lexus dealer is about 30 miles away. Mechanic, who I have known for over 20 yrs, called me to say that the oil was very dark after just 3k miles and "Reeked" of fuel. (fuel dilution?). He stated that he found quite a few Technical service bulletins pertaining to this problem.

Checked previous service invoice from about a yr ago when car was bought Certified used with 12K. CEL was on Codes P0172,0175 Recalibrate ECU , change oil and TSB EG002-07. Anyone have any insight to what might be going on? TIA

There was a point when there was a recall on the IS models on this problem. Other models were also affected by this, but you might want to search the forums because I know someone has posted it up on here somewhere.
