So I went to bed and forgot I had my radio on and when I went to start the car this morning it wouldn't do anything. The locks wont work and not even the dome light comes on.

Oddly, the start button remains amber. What does that mean?

You think if I jump it and drive around for awhile it'll come back to life?

 

thats wierd... I thought the cars automatically shuts off after 1 hour if the engine isn't running... Yes it should come back if you jump it and drive it around ...the alternator just needs to charge the battery...

 

how old is your battery? if it is relatively new. I think the battery is still good.

 

Bought the car new about 18 months ago

 

The smart key push start will remain amber with little voltage. Just jump your car, and it will be fine. I had someone drain my battery leaving the push button on auxillary for 6 hours. It jumped fine and has been fine. Your battery is not dead. Then drive it around with little to no accessories on for a half hour.

 

18 mths... your battery is still good.. jump it

this is true. I was at a drive in movie and had it on to listen to the movie but then 1 hr exactly into the movie the car shut off... i had to repush the button. Its fine just jump the car. But i was at a double feature with 2 movies for about 4 and a half hr and it was fine with subs and amps running also

 

yeah the car will automatically shut off in 1 hour. i take naps in my car and i get woken up when the radio shuts off and the steering wheel retracts... that means my lunch break is up and it's time to go back to work.
