Default Newbie in moding stuff

I'm a newbie in any modification to cars so bare with me. I was wonder if I were to put a intake in my IS250 will it void any warranty?

Also, I was looking at this on Sewell's:
http://www.lexus-parts.com/parts_detail.asp?id=89256

Is this any good and how much HP will increase?

Thanks!

Guess he wanted a second opinion? (ive noticed ppl doing that lately)

AS for an intake for the 250... you should spend your money somewhere else... have you done your lites yet? lowered? got mooncake? what about interior JP accessories? a amp + sub?

There are so many mods that will give your car more 'impact'. Even with a intake/exhaust a stock scion TC will still beat you so why bother? 250 = VIP

this is how aftermarket modifications work with warranty... mods will not void out ur whole warranty. only if the dealership says the aftermarket part caused a specific area to fail can they deny your warrenty... lets say u get an intake and something happens to ur engine.. if they want to be dicks.. they can say ur aftermarket intake caused the failure and deny coverage.. but if your electrical goes out.. its not related to the intake... therefore ur electrical will still be covered.

aftermarket intakes will not give you much HP gain.. only for looks and sound. and as llamaboiz said.. theres so many other things you can do to ur ride. have fun with it... make sure u got deep pockets.. modding never ends.. haha
