Hey all,

My '07 IS 250 has always made a clicking noise ever since I bought it (brand new). For some reason I thought this was normal (brand new car, it's got to be fine right?), but it has really been getting to me lately and I want to know if this is something all IS 250's have in common or is it just mine. The clicking noise I am referring to comes from the engine, and the clicks occur at a rate of about 3 clicks per second. This happens whether I'm at idle or in motion (the clicks seem to accelerate along with the speed of the car).

Can anyone verify if this is the norm?? It's driving me nuts!!!!

yes its normal I forgot, I think it has something to do with the injectors do a search it has been discussed before!!

When I first got my IS, these clicking noise drove me nuts until I asked the question on this forum. It is a normal for second gen IS.

 

i got the same clicking noise, but because my car doesn't have direct ingection (3GR-FE) i don't think the noise has something to do with the injectors.
i heard it in another IS300 at the dealer so i forgot about it
