Hey guys wasup. Hows everybody doing? I hope everyone at clublexus has a good up coming Christmas. Ok well let me get to the point. I purchased some rims. They are 20's Laguna Seca's and i am trying to figure out which tire sizes to run without getting any rubbing? Also what should my offsets be?
if you already got them... you should be able to tell what the offsets are yourself... they're usually written behind the wheel spoke or in the wheel barrel..... we can't really provide you with that info because the same wheel could come in several different offsets... and tire size is based on how wide the rim is... you gotta let us know how wide it is... 20's could come in many different widths... 7.5 all the way up to 11 usually... so... once you have those answered or maybe even measured... come back... but based on them just being 20's probably not many could help

Ya, i definitely let the important information out. sorry. I dont have the rims yet. They should be here anytime next week. But it is 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear. Thanks.
285/25/20 rear or 275/30/20 rear and 245/30/20 front or 235/30/20 front! most people go with 275/30/20 and 245/30/20, iforged recommended me go with 285/25/20 and 245/30/20, since i live in texas and the roads are very harsh i think im going with the 275/30/20 for the extra cushion, otherwise a bent rim may be in the near future if i go with the 285/25/20, but some people have been pretty lucky, it depends if its your everyday car also, then you may want go with the 275/30/20, the 285/25/20 are considered rubber bands! hope this help, but im still trying to decie on which size i want to go with as im waiting my 9th week for my iforged's to come in!
i think the tries sizes only come in a couple of brands, you also have to make sure you have the proper offsets, which will cause rubbing, iforged also informed that some tires come oversized they really recommended toyo t1r, they tol me several brands to avoid due to the production that make them come oversized that will cause rubbing, dont know how true this is but im passing it along, i was thinking of going with vredesteins, toyo, falken, or yokahomas, dont know yet! im leaning toward the vredesteins, plus i saw them on this bentley and it looked so sicckkk, not based on looks alone the tyres have a very good review and they pretty cheap like $160/tyre!
If you don't want to have any rubbing issues, get 245/30/20s for the front and 285/25/20s for the rear. For my set of 20s I bought Toyo T1-Rs and they are a great set of tires. They look good, have a good ride quality and to my surprise, they are pretty quiet (road noise) compared to other brands.
Well thanks for the great info everyone. I appreciate all the help.
So based on the following information that was provided to me. I am thinking to go with 245/30/20s in the front and 275/30/20s in the rear. Yes, this is my everyday driving car. So im not sure how comfortable the ride will be or if it will be really harsh or not with these tire sizes and rims. But when you decide to go with 20's it is either "looks or comfort". So i am choosing looks. ;-) I guess i will have to sacrifice.
So will i get any rubbing with 245/30/20s in the front and 275/30/20s in the rear?
you shouldn't rub but it depends on the tires you go with and the offset of the rims, i heard toyos dont rub, i lot have went with toyos and falkens and had no issues, it just really depends on the offset but you shouldn't rub, what kind of wheels are you getting?
Hehe getting my rims eh. Well if they dont ask you for what offsets you want then you should be getting the same offsets as mine.
In that case, you should get 235/30/20 (maaaaaybe 225/30/20) in the front.I am running 285/25/20 in the rear with no problems.
That is if they are picking the offsets for you.

I thought we talked about this on AIM.
Ya we did but i just forgot what sizes we talked about. Appreciate the help. 285/25/30 .. wow that is like a rubber band in the rear. ;-) Why do you say maybe to 225/30/20 ? Any huge difference from 235/30/20?

ok i just got off the phone with my rim vendor and she told me that i should go with 225/35/20 in the front and 255/30/20 in the rear. What do you guys think?

Hehe, notice how all the other posts by everyone else have a few keywords, 'what is the offset'. Knowing the rim size and offset is first THEN tire size. Please tell us the rim specifics, rim size AND offset.
